4/17/20 update

Hi Parents and Players,

I just wanted to update everyone and let you know we are finalizing details for our summer programs.  We are still very hopeful that we can play one way or another in the summer months ahead. That plan of course could change, but we are still planning everything like we will play this summer. That said, a few details are still being ironed out, so we cannot yet officially announce programs / open summer registration. But we are very very close! So stay tuned!

Again, we promise to have Summer team, camp, and clinic options for all ages and skill levels, and both boys and girls. Along with that, we will include information on the how you can use your spring team money for future programs. And we promise to make sure you get your money's worth.

Thanks again for your patience and understanding as we work through all of this.  Know that we at Fusz are doing all in our power to work so all players and families can see the field again as safely, and as soon as possible to make up for the missed spring season.

Please continue to take the health situation seriously. Take care of yourself, your loved ones, and the less fortunate in your community. At the end of the day, this is what is most important. Be good to each other. Can't wait to see you guys on the field again. We miss you all dearly.

4/10/20 update

Hi Parents and Players,

I just wanted to let everyone know we are aware of yesterday\'s school closure announcement from Governor Parson, as well as the official cancellation of spring high school sports from MSHSAA. Based on both of those announcements, I think everyone understands that the Spring Lacrosse Season will not be played (no matter your level or age). 🙁

This is a first for all of us, and we are absolutely heartbroken about it just as much as you are. We feel especially bad for the 8th graders and high school / college seniors losing this special last spring lacrosse season. So much hard work, dedication, sacrifice and most importantly enjoyment with friends and family now seemingly lost. Know that we at Fusz are doing all in our power to work so all players and families can see the field again as safely and as soon as possible. We are finalizing specifics of how to handle this situation and are discussing and finalizing lots of different options for Summer Lacrosse and beyond.

Lou Fusz will be running programming for all ages and sexes this summer and in future seasons. We promise to have programs this summer for 4-5 years olds all the way up to graduating 2020 hs seniors who just lost their season. As well as even men's and women's adult leagues for college or older players and parents. We will get back to you next week with specific information on these programs as well as credits / refunds for spring teams and how they can be used for future programs.

Thank you to everyone for being patient and understanding. This is obviously a situation that is beyond our control and we are all just trying to get through it day-by-day the best we can. Please continue to take the health situation seriously. Take care of yourself, your loved ones, and the less fortunate in your community. At the end of the day, this is what is most important. Can't wait to see you guys on the field again.

3/24/20 update

Hi Parents and Players,

The Coronavirus situation continues to create challenges for all of us. This is something that we are all dealing with, and are all trying our best to navigate. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding as things are changing and progressing.

Over the past few days we have all been ordered to shelter in place for 30 days.  While the optimist in me wants to think we will get back to lacrosse sooner rather than later, at this point it looks like we will be postponing all training, practices and games until at least the end of April.  Until then, we hope the situation stabilizes and the health authorities do not need to take any additional actions. Unfortunately we are in a giant waiting period until we really know when we can start planning next steps, dates and details to get on the field. At this point, we are trying our best to still have some sort of spring season. When it will start and finish we do not know quite yet. We are planning multiple different scenarios and options.

We are exploring everything from the potential of playing on Memorial Day Weekend or later, to trying to expand our Summer options.  More details on all of this later as things progress. None of this can be finalized until we are able to better see ahead of when a return to playing could even be a possibility. If the Spring Season continues to be delayed, at some point we will cancel the season and information on credits or refunds would be in order.

I will send out another update next week, March 30th. Until then, keep that stick in your hands (and wash them of course!)!

Attached below is a training packet (click on the hyper links) for the next few weeks. 6 days of training and rest on the 7th. Push yourself, and if you want more, reach out. Do it.

We will be posting videos of training, live streams and more.

I hope to see everyone on the lacrosse field soon!

LFA Families - 3/16/20 announcement

Lou Fusz Athletic will temporarily suspend all sports programming, effective immediately, and will continue to monitor the impact of COVID-19. With the health of our club and the greater St. Louis community in mind, we hope this preventative measure allows us to get back on the field sooner rather than later.

With the recent actions taken by multiple professional sports organizations and recommendations from the public health authorities in the field, we felt to exercise caution was in the best interest of our players, families, and fans.

Thank you for your support during this challenging time. The safety and security of our families will always be highest on our priority list!

We will be evaluating local and national conditions continually to determine when best to resume training and programming. Your coaches and Directors will be reaching out with plans during the time away from the club, and we will send out another club communication the week of March 23rd.
